Science in Action: Unveiling the Secrets of Matter

Image
I introduced the "Matter Moves" interactive work to class 8C, an innovative educational activity designed to teach the concepts of matter and its properties through engaging hands-on activities. The session included several interactive stations, such as word scramble, pick it up, arrange the cards, find the way mixture mystery etc ; To reinforce their understanding, I concluded the session by rewarding the students with a storybook of Lemon and Soap: Annie and Bob's big pH adventure, creatively consolidating their learning in a fun and memorable way.

📑03/02/2025 On this day, I began with morning duty, ensuring that students maintained discipline and adhered to the school's rules and regulations. It was a calm and orderly start to the day.   During the third hour, I substituted in class 9A and conducted a **diagnostic test** based on the achievement test topics in **Chemical Kinetics**. The test consisted of **10 fill-in-the-blank questions** covering:   1. Types of Chemical Reactions 2. Effect of Concentration on the Rate of Reaction 3. The Haber Process I explained the instructions clearly and gave students sufficient time to complete the test. Their responses revealed that while many understood the concepts, some struggled with specific topics, such as the effect of concentration and the catalyst used in the Haber process. This activity helped identify areas for further improvement. 📑4/02/2025 The last day of my teaching practice was an emotional and unforgettable experience. In the morning, I collected my ev...

📑 27/01/2025 I had morning duty from 8:45 to 9:20 am, during which I ensured the students maintained discipline and adhered to the school rules. Following that, I received a substitution for the first hour in class 8C. I utilized this opportunity to engage the students in a meaningful learning session, focusing on the topic that aligned with their syllabus. Later in the day, during the last hour, I was assigned a substitution in class 9D. I effectively managed the class, ensuring that the students remained attentive and used the time productively. Overall, the day was fulfilling, with smooth transitions between my duties and substitutions. 📑28/01/25 During the third hour, I taught the topic **"Pitch and Loudness of Sound"** to class 8C as part of their Physics lesson. The session was carefully planned with interactive activities to ensure the students could distinguish between pitch and loudness effectively. I used real-life examples and simple demonstrations to make the co...

Bridging Education and Innovation

20/01/2025 Arrived at school by 8:30 AM to fulfill my morning duty. The day was particularly exciting as I had the opportunity to accompany the 8th-grade students on an educational trip to Mar Ivanios College. The purpose of the visit was to explore the Chemistry, Physics, Botany, and Zoology laboratories at the college, giving the students a firsthand experience of advanced scientific concepts and practices.  What made the visit even more special was that it brought back a wave of nostalgia for me. I had previously completed my MSc in Chemistry from Mar Ivanios College, and stepping into its familiar hallways and labs once again felt like a journey back in time. The trip not only allowed me to reconnect with a place I hold dear but also provided a platform to share my enthusiasm for science with my students, bridging my academic past and my current role as an educator. 21/2/2025 The day began with my morning duty, which I completed diligently. Later, I accompanied the 8th-g...

📍9/01/25 After the Christmas holidays and the state-level arts fest, we resumed the second phase of  teaching practice. We reached the school at 8:45 am and met the principal, Bijo Sir, for updates and instructions. During the day, I was assigned a substitution period in the 6th hour for class 9A.   I began the class by engaging the students in a casual discussion about their Christmas exams to gauge their experience and performance. Following this, I introduced a small topic, "Mass Percentage and Concentration," explaining the key concepts and providing simple examples for better understanding. The students seemed attentive, and the session concluded smoothly. 📍10/01/25 I had line duty in the morning as part of my assigned responsibilities. During the 3rd and 4th hours, I handled a substitution in class 8C and introduced the concept of "Sound" to the students. Later, during the 6th hour, I taught the topic "Saturated, Unsaturated, and Supersaturated Soluti...
